The Passion of The Christ
3/7/2004
I have just returned home from experiencing “The Passion of The Christ” movie.
How does one describe what Jesus did for you and I. It is very difficult to express in human terms what it must have been like for Jesus to take the burden of all our sins. Can we understand the depth of His love. The details of this burden, the horror of the greatest suffering ever known, ever lived through.
Abba Father, may the pictures of His shed blood splattered on the faces of his tormentors, dripping from the nails penetrating the cross, never fade from our view. The pools of His blood covering the cold, dirty stones, will never dry. Life is in the blood and it covers our cold and stony hearts. Does His blood wash you clean? His shed blood is presented to you. Please let His sacrifice change your life. Accept newness in your spirit and body. It is His gift, His very costly gift.
Let your old person die on that cross with Jesus. Let Jesus create a new person with a resurrected heart, a resurrected mind and a resurrected spirit. Let the life in His blood become life in your inner most being. Accept His sacrifice for your sins. Jesus already paid for them. Give them up to Him. If you don’t give your sins to Jesus, you will have to pay the penalty for them all.
His stripes for your healing.
